Independent equity research firm Shareclarity today announced the launch of its industry-first augmented reality and voice recognition research app. It will enable users to access a wealth of investor related information in an instant and without searching or typing.

Shareclarity, a finalist in the 2016 Payments New Zealand Fintech Innovation Challenge, provides crowd-based and cloud-based share price valuations on over 270 listed companies within the Shareclarity portfolio across New Zealand, Australia and Hong Kong. The free app promises to deliver on that by giving investors faster and more transparent access to investment material – including share price, key financials, relevant media articles, and analyst insights.

Daniel Kieser, founder and managing director of Shareclarity, says the initiative is the culmination of several months of hard work by a large team of developers and analysts, and one he’s confident will be well received on both sides of the Tasman.

“Our AR app, which we believe to be the first of its kind in our category, let’s time-poor investors find what they’re after without even typing. All they have to do is point their phone at the name of one of the firms we cover – in an email, newspaper, website or street sign – and we’ll instantaneously overlay our research-based analysis and insights.

“Technology is creating new ways for people to access and interact with information all the time. While we’re obviously excited about this development, there’s even more to come from Shareclarity in the near future, including voice controls and modular research. Soon, instead of receiving a lengthy, staid broker report, you’ll be able to download, post, send and receive the parts you want via email, text, WhatsApp, Messenger and other channels,” says Kieser.

Shareclarity provides real-time research on the growing list of companies, as well as access to stock screens, newsletters, mobile alerts, company descriptions, chat forums and annual reports.

With operations in both New Zealand and Australia, the launch of the Shareclarity app is designed for investors, wealth advisers, fund managers and financial institutions on both sides of the Tasman.

“Since we launched five years ago, we’ve been on a mission to make relevant information accessible and useable, and we want to continue providing everyone an equal opportunity to learn and contribute to the understanding of shares,” concludes Kieser.
