Can you tell us a bit about your business?
Welcome to The Green Collective, your eco-warrior pals in sunny Nelson, New Zealand! We’re on a mission to kick single-use plastics to the curb with our fabulous growing lineup of reusable goodies. Think SPRUCE Swedish dishcloths, HANK organic cotton handkerchiefs, and bags that do it all, designed to be gentle on the planet, the eye and you.
Our fans? Theyβre the eco-conscious champs who crave products that are as tough as they are stylish. Weβre all about upcycling, recycling, and embracing organic materials, making sure everything we offer is top-notch and planet-friendly.
Weβre not just about the products; weβre all in for building eco-alliances and collaborating with local artists to whip up one-of-a-kind designs, creating a vibrant community dedicated to bringing joy back to the daily grind.
At The Green Collective, we know that even the tiniest, mindful choices can spark a world of change for our beloved planet. By providing practical and eye-catching alternatives to your daily essentials, we empower everyone to make eco-friendly decisions, no need to sacrifice style or quality!
What’s the backstory for your business idea?
We have always been inspired by looking at our daily habits and how we can improve them. So, since 2014 The Green Collective has proudly conducted months of research, testing and reviewing to create our product line. It has been important for us to lead by example and be a good role model for our three boys.
Having a growing family has highlighted the need for us to make careful choices and do what we can to lessen any negative impact on the environment.. Every product we offer is used by us on a daily basis. We couldn’t find what we wanted, with exceptional quality to be durable enough for heavy family use. Alongside the practicality of use was a total lack of joy and colour amongst eco products.
