Can you tell us a bit about your business?
Lyngo is building world-class AI receptionists for healthcare.
Starting with phone answering in allied health. We handle appointments, FAQs, and patient inquiries, seamlessly integrating with clinic systems to automate administrative tasks, allowing clinics to focus more on patient care.
What’s the backstory for your business idea?
When Cam and I met in 2022, we knew we wanted to work together and solve real world problems leveraging GenAI. After speaking to hundreds of businesses, one issue stood out: time spent handling phone calls, especially in healthcare, where receptionists often miss more than half the calls. We saw AI as the solution and launched Lyngo in early 2023 to automate receptionist tasks through deep workflow integrations.
Despite early challenges with cost, speed and reliability, we stayed bullish. Now, Lyngo operates in four countries, with a mission to become the best AI receptionist in healthcare.
What programmes, learning or mentoring, or resources have been of assistance so far?
So far, we’ve benefited from various programmes, including the Antler Accelerator, which provided invaluable early guidance, connected us with peers, and even brought us together as cofounders. We’ve also had the support of industry-specific advisors and investors whoβve helped shape our long-term strategy.
As for resources, my two favourite podcasts are:
- Y Combinator
- The Knowledge Project
For other founders, Iβd recommend finding advisors who are valuable for the stage you’re at (be selective), building a community of fellow founders, and continuously learning from your peers.
