Can you tell us a bit about your business?

Framework is a steel door and window company, specialising in design-led security solutions.

The problem we are addressing: the majority of homes and businesses in New Zealand fall short in terms of their overall (actual and perceived) security. Those that have invested in security door fixings have done so with next to no choice of design.

Our solution: we design, manufacture and install a range of security solutions, which provide protection and peace of mind, as well as functional and aesthetic enhancements to people’s homes and businesses.

Our target market encompasses anyone who values security and design, from families and pet owners to businesses and design enthusiasts.

We believe security and style should go hand-in-hand.

What’s the backstory for your business idea?

Framework was born from our personal experience living abroad, where we enjoyed the security and style of a well-engineered steel door at our home in Sydney. Upon returning to New Zealand, we were disappointed by the lack of comparable options – they were either overly industrial or lacked design appeal.

Recognizing a market gap, we leveraged our advertising and marketing expertise to create Framework, a brand dedicated to elevating security solutions through design.

Launched in 2024, our mission is to make security both beautiful and effective, offering homeowners and businesses peace of mind without compromising on aesthetics.
