Can you tell us a bit about your business?
HealthNow is a Fintech/Healthtech solution which simplifies the payment experience for patients, providers and employers to improve the accessibility of healthcare and prevent neglect and delay on a global scale. Our solutions key features are Employer aid, were employers can contribute to their employees healthcare. HealthNow, Pay Later, where patients can spread health costs over up to 12 weeks with no interest and Health savers, where patients can save for their future health needs.
Currently, 24-39% of patients delay healthcare due to cost. We will make healthcare more accessible to more people.
What’s the backstory for your business idea?
I come from a health background working as a health provider then building a health business. It was always challenging to see patients who couldn’t afford the care they need. It also was a challenge for our business as health providers need patients to make money. Thus, increasing accessibility increases opportunities on both sides of the network.
What programmes, learning or mentoring have been of assistance so far?
I am a lifelong learner. I have been part of EO NZ leaders and BNZ North Harbour leaders. I have had consistent mentoring from a range of individuals – most recently those listed on our about us page of HealthNow and CoverUS’s website.
