Kiwi innovation is set to shine at the first Auckland Startup Week, to be held in central Auckland 20 – 24 October 2025.

The Auckland Startup Week programme, announced today and available to view, connects international investors and startups to highlight the companies, ideas and people shaping Auckland’s reputation as a region for innovation.

Auckland Startup Week is presented by Auckland Council in association with investment firms, entrepreneurs, research institutes, corporates and universities, with support funding from the city centre targeted rate.

Sessions include a founders’ clinic, introduction to exporting, insights on how to scale Kiwi tech companies globally, flagship events showcasing groundbreaking innovation, and networking to link early-stage startups with founders, top investors and industry leaders.

Pam Ford, General Manager of the Economic Development Office at Auckland Council, says Auckland Startup Week will boost the region’s impressive startup community and build partnerships and opportunities to fuel Auckland’s economy.
“Tāmaki Makaurau is a globally competitive tech hub that accounts for more than half of the national tech sector GDP. Auckland Startup Week shines a light on Auckland’s reputation as a leading innovation city with the people and connections to enable startups to thrive,” Ford says.
