Can you tell us a bit about your business?
We make it super simple for finance teams to 10x their productivity using AI. We work with mid-size organisations across insurance, manufacturing, construction and hospitality. We give mundane tasks to AI so that humans can unleash more awesome in their work world.
What’s the backstory for your business idea?
I’ve been working on applied AI for businesses since 2016; including projects for NZ Rugby, NZ Police, Transpower and a whole bunch of awesome startups. The idea of accessibility has always been there, now the technology is easy to use and the market awareness has grown massively since chatGPT blew up.
What programmes, learning or mentoring have been of assistance so far?
- We’ve had great support from Callaghan Innovation, our early investors (WNT, Quidnet, NZVC and Ice House) and especially my chairman Scott Houston – a word of wisdom at the right time is worth a hundred chapters of a business book.
- I’m an avid podcast listener, I’ll consume a few episodes of “How I built this” to get inspired and consoled.
- I’ve also recently joined a new scale-up community run by Robett Hollis called Powermoves which is epic!
