What’s the backstory for your business idea?

Chargemaster New Zealand is a company that has its roots in a long-standing family tradition in the automotive industry. The founder of Chargemaster, Frano, grew up in a family that had a passion for cars and had been involved in the automotive business for generations.

I had always been interested in entrepreneurship, and the latest technology trends, therefore was fascinated by the potential of electric vehicles and the network that could be developed with charging infrastructure. I had a vision that electric cars were the future of transportation and that there was an opportunity to help make this future a reality in New Zealand.

I knew that one of the key barriers to the adoption of electric cars was the lack of charging infrastructure, and began to explore ways that could help address this challenge.

What programmes, learning or mentoring have been of assistance so far?

Business books: Reading books written by successful entrepreneurs and business leaders can provide valuable insights into their strategies and experiences. Some highly recommended books include “Emyth” or “The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People”.
Mentorship programs: Finding a mentor who has experience in your industry can be of incredible value.
Networking events: Attending events and conferences related to the industry can be a great way to meet other entrepreneurs and learn from their experiences.
Overall, the key is to be proactive in seeking out learning opportunities and resources that can help you grow as an entrepreneur. The more you invest in your own personal and professional development, the more likely you are to succeed in your business endeavours.
