Conquer Health: Where Purpose Meets Personalised Wellbeing
New Zealand startup Conquer Health is redefining the way we approach wellbeing by offering personalised, science-backed strategies with ongoing expert support, a far cry from one-off reports or quick fixes.
Conquer Health’s mission is to champion preventative health by combining epigenetics and advanced functional testing with personalised clinical support to help people extend their health span and enhance performance in every aspect of life.
For co-founder Etienne Humbert, the idea was born from personal necessity. After years of high-pressure executive roles, travel, and new fatherhood, he began to question whether the pace he was keeping was sustainable. “How am I going to last 20 more years at that pace?” he recalls thinking. Alongside his wife Hannah, he saw an opportunity to create a service that would help others find lasting health, purpose, and resilience before crisis hit.
Together, they launched Conquer Health, an online health and wellbeing service available to people nationwide. Working alongside clinical nutritionist Rebecca Birch, naturopath Samantha Boon, and Lead Health & Longevity Coach Rachel Bowden, the Humberts are building a model that combines science, sustainability, and ongoing support.
The health and wellness industry is flooded with advice, tests, and programmes that promise results. But Conquer Health’s founders say the missing ingredient is sustainable approaches that provide long-term health benefits.
“What makes us different is that we don’t just deliver advice, and we don’t just give people a report with a bullet-point strategy,” Humbert explains. “We provide sustainable and actionable strategies that are bespoke to your needs, with ongoing support.”
At the heart of the Conquer Health model is a 12-month membership programme that blends advanced functional testing — such as DNA or gut health analysis — then moves into a personalised plan, co-created with a clinician, combined with access to other health experts across the country who are matched, depending on client needs and goals. Importantly, the plan evolves as life changes. If stress, fatigue or new goals emerge, clients can access different practitioners throughout the year.
Its multidisciplinary clinical panel is expanding rapidly, bringing together experts in epigenetics, nutrition, adrenal and hormonal health, and gut health. The latest addition to the team is their new Senior Clinical Advisor, Dr. Danny McGee. McGee is an experienced GP, specialising in family and integrative medicine, longevity and precision health.

For Birch, who has two decades of experience as a clinical nutritionist and educator, the challenge is no longer a lack of information — it’s knowing what to trust. “There’s a lot of great content out there, and there’s also a lot of rubbish,” she says. “Our role is to sift through it and personalise what’s robust and relevant for the person in front of us.”
Boon agrees, highlighting the importance of community — both for clients and for practitioners themselves. “Many practitioners dream of being part of an interdisciplinary team where they feel supported,” she says. “This model isn’t just beneficial for customers, it also supports our healthcare community, which is often overwhelmed.”
Conquer Health has already attracted interest across diverse groups. The company serves busy entrepreneurs, high-achievers, and individuals seeking long-term health, balance, and sustainable performance across New Zealand. This includes corporate leaders, professionals managing high-stress roles and even athletes training for major goals like marathons.
Humbert also notes uptake among others, such as mothers returning to the workforce, highlighting the broad relevance of the model. “Performance can mean running a marathon, but it can also mean being present with your family after work,” he says, “for many, it’s simply about finding the balance to thrive in everyday life.”
Humbert describes the venture as both a business and a personal mission often fuelled by late nights after his son was asleep. “The hardest part was energy,” Humbert admits. “But passion keeps you going, and having the right team around you makes all the difference.” Past experiences in entrepreneurship taught him resilience, while failures became stepping stones. “I’ve set up businesses before that didn’t work. I don’t see them as failures; I see them as learning curves. This time, with the right team and purpose, we believe we can really make a difference.”
For those considering their own entrepreneurial leap, Humbert offers simple but hard-won advice: secure the support of your family and surround yourself with people who hold you accountable. “It doesn’t matter if your first venture works or not. What matters is committing, being passionate, and learning along the way.”
Ultimately, Conquer Health is more than a wellness business. It’s a philosophy rooted in empowerment, sustainability, and authenticity. Birch puts it simply: “Our job is to recognise the individual and empower them to take ownership of their health journey. When people do that, success is far more likely.”
For Humbert, it comes back to balance and purpose. “Family is always the priority, but beyond that it’s about living life with purpose. Conquer Health is our way of making that possible — not just for ourselves, but for the communities we serve.”
